Since I am back from Australia, my friends and I took the habit to snack on Sunday afternoon. For this occasion, I am baking homemade waffles. Everyone can put whatever he wants on it. For me, it is usually Nutella, coconut chips and fruits.
For the dough, you will need:
- 250g of wheat flour,
- A pinch of salt,
- 10g of baking powder,
- 35cl of semi-skimmed milk,
- 80g of melted butter,
- 4 eggs,
- 50g of sugar.
In a big bowl, mix the flour, the salt and the baking powder together. Make a well where you will put the milk, the melted butter and the egg yolks. Mix the whole thing.
In another bowl, whip egg-whites to a light mousse and add the sugar gradually.
Blend the white eggs softly with the first mix. Warm up your waffle grill. If needed, oiled a bit with the help of a kitchen towel. Bake your waffles. As soon as they are ready, fill them at your convenience.
If you are really gourmand, add some choc chip to the dough.
