Three religious sites to visit in Lisbon

Carmo covent

The ruins of the carmo covent became an archaeological museum. If you walked in Alfama suburb, you could get in for only 5€. Given that it is mainly made of ruins, the visit can be done quickly. There is also a museum inside at the end of the covent. For my part, I find impressive to see that the arches are still up and the perspective that it creates.

Mosteiro Dos Jeronimos

For 10€, you can visit the monastery of Jeronimos. This building is amazing. If you are passing through Lisbon, I highly recommend you to put it on your list. And, if you go there, make sure that you have enough battery and space available to take pictures. You will want to Ce bâtiment est incroyable. Si vous êtes de passage à Lisbonne je vous recommande vivement de le faire sur votre liste. Et si vous vous y rendez, prévoyez d’avoir de la batterie et de l’espace disponible pour prendre des photos. Vous aurez envie de snap all the details of the buildings as I did. 😉

Statue of the Cristo Rei

Located in Almada, the Cristo Rei statue is in the heart of a religious sanctuary. From there, you will have an amazing view on the 25th of April bridge and the city. It is a bit expensive to go up. The view that you get once you are up doesn’t really worth the 6€. The visit of the sanctuary is free.

Did you know those sites? What did you think of them?
